You must call Bri Wehlage or Cindy Folk at the Coop Central Office to pre register for the workshop you will be attending. Or if you wish, email bwehlage@anwcoop.com or cfolk@anwcoop.com.

 **If some workshops become too large we will move to a larger facility.

 For verification of attendance the inservice trainer will present each participant with a certificate.  You will be responsible for copying and submitting to your regional coordinator.

 We need to have all pre registrations in no later than January 8th, 2007.

Asperger’s Syndrome:  An Overview and Learning Strategies

  February 20th - 3:45-5:45  training site:  Moved to Humboldt High School Cafeteria

       Topic:  Overview & strategies, and time for questions from participants.

     Presenter:  Lee Stickle.  Lee is the Autism Coordinator for the  Neurologic

    Disabilities Project.  She has taught in a variety of  educational

        settings at numerous levels. Lee earned her Master’s Degree from

KU through the  Autism/Asperger Syndrome program.

Kansas Alternate Assessments:  “Look to the Label”

                     

 Feb. 21st has been moved to

Humboldt Middle School Computer Lab

from 3:30 to 5:30 PM

  Topic:   This training addresses the completion of evidence labels.  Participants will learn how to

        efficiently and effectively complete the portions of an evidence label. Activities will be

       geared to allow participants to “brainstorm” and  “share” ideas as well as complete actuall  labels.

               Trade Tools Needed:  Student IEP, student folio, and Kansas Stat  Extended Standards Manual .

 

 

 

Writing and Presenting a Transition IEP

        February 26th - 3:30-5:30  training site:  First Baptist Church on the corner of 7th and Osage in Humboldt, KS

                                                           

                          Topic:   This session will discuss the information needed for an IEP and where to place it within

                                           that IEP. Suggestions and tips for presentation of the IEP student’s meeting.

Kansas Alternate Assessments:  “Knowing How to Score”

      February 28th - 3:30-5:30  training site:  Coop Central Office

                                                               

                 Topic:   The culmination of three trainings on the alternate assessment, this one addresse the scoring

                   process. Activities will be geared to informing participants how to use the state developed rubric

        for scoring an alternate assessment.

Attendance Limit:  30 eager and fun people

   Date:  April 11, 2007  & April 25th, 2007   Time:  3:25 – 5:30

         Games to Improve CCC (continued)

               Description:  Enjoyable and stress-releasing activities designe to rejuvenate

                               participants to finish the school year on a positive note.

                                 This workshop will provide a variety of interactive

                             games/activities that will facilitate effective communication

                               and cooperation in the work environment. An added bonus

                                   is the strengthening of respect for others that naturally

                                occurs when communication and cooperation are in place.
